My name is Jeroen Post. I am a solution architect and software engineer who likes to design and create software solutions that make people happy. I have been doing this professionally since 1998. In these years I have seen a lot; the good, the bad and the ugly, so I know the do’s and don’ts.

I think that software is never really finished nowadays. It is continuously subject to new insight, changes in the environment and technological innovation. Therefore software solutions must be designed in such a way that they can cope with change. The speed in which you are able to change your IT solutions is becoming increasingly important because changes are occurring faster and faster. I believe you must organise the architecture of your IT solutions and your software delivery process in such a way that you are able to change fast without losing grip on the quality and security of your applications.

• Fill the gap between business and IT.
• Lead and coach your development teams.
• Organize your devops, continuous delivery and continuous integration processes.
• Assess the state of your existing IT landscape and software.
• Design and implement applications, REST services and SOAP services that serve your business and your development team.
• Integrate your back-end systems; relational databases, NoSQL data stores, SOAP/REST services, middleware, etc.

In general I work with proven technologies like Java, Spring framework and the AWS cloud. I am a full stack software engineer; from front-end to back-end. I prefer open source over closed source. I love experimenting with new and upcoming technologies to find out what works and what doesn't so you don't have to. When designing an application I get my inspiration from design patterns, domain driven design and microservice architectural principles.
